IES Halifax: 2026 Section Officers

July, 2026 - IES Halifax Section is excited to welcome our 2026 Term Section Officers, congratulations to the newly elected section leadership team!

IES District 1 Chair 2026-27

February 9, 2026 - Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) announceed the appointment of Aminul Islam as the District 1 Chair 2026-2027. District-1 is part of the Northeast Region of the IES and encompasses all of the IES Sections in Eastern Canada; from Ontario to Newfoundland & Labrador.

In this new role, Aminul will help strengthen IES's presence in the industry, increase membership, expand the range of technical activities and grow the organization's social footprint throughout Eastern Canada.
